In June 2009 members of The Horseboating Society took the historic horsedrawn boat Elland from Crick to Stoke Bruerne for the Stoke Bruerne Gala Weekend.
Just before arriving at Stoke Bruerne, Elland was legged through Blisworth Tunnel.
As part of the activities for Stoke Bruerne Gala Weekend, Elland was horseboated down the Stoke Bruerne locks and then back up again to enable visitors to see horseboating in action.
Elland was then horseboated to the historic boat gathering at Braunston, being legged through Braunston Tunnel.
